Frankie Lee Perry, 78, of Mount Hope, WV, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV.
Born August 2, 1946 in Charleston, WV, he was the son of the late Frank and Lottie Ellen (Hodge) Perry.
Frankie was a U.S. Army Veteran, a former coalminer with 20 plus years of service, and was an Engineering Technician with the WV Department of Highways. He was a member of UMWA, became a Christian when he was a teenager and sung Southern Gospel music for many years.
In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Earl Wingo; and sister, Bernice Howell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving and devoted wife of nearly 54 years, Judy Perry; his son, Jonathan Perry and his wife, Kelley; three grandchildren, Kimberly, John, and Maria; one great grandson, Mateo; two nieces; and three nephews.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated, there will be no public services, and inurnment will follow in the family cemetery.
