Florabelle Maynor Wines, 73, of Pax, West Virginia, gained her heavenly wings peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Florabelle was born on July 2, 1953, in Pax, West Virginia, to the late Ross and Della Maynor.

Florabelle was a devoted homemaker who found joy in summer canning and spending time with her beloved husband, Herman. She was a faithful member of Ewing Creek Church and cherished the time she spent with her family, church family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Florabelle was preceded in death by her daughter, Annette Wines; her brothers, Alfin Maynor of Pax, Sanford Maynor, and Gary Maynor of Pax; and her sisters, Mabel Williams of Clear Creek and Margaret Wines of Pax.

Those left to cherish her loving memory include her husband of 48 years, Herman Wines; her brother, Raymond (Gail) Maynor of Mossy, West Virginia; her sisters, Gloria Crew of Beckley and Ethel Flint of Beckley; special nephews Carl (Brenda) Maynor of Johnston, New York, and Edward (Cristy) Maynor of Hico, West Virginia; her granddaughters, Amelia (Caleb) Harlan of Beckley and Anslee Maynor of Hico; stepdaughter Donna McDaniel of Tennessee; sisters-in-law Alice Maynor of Pax, Mary Lou Maynor of Beckley, and Glenda Treadway of Mt. Hope, West Virginia.

Florabelle also leaves behind many special nieces, nephews, her church family, and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories they made with her.

Though she will be deeply missed, Florabelle’s loving spirit, kindness, and beautiful memories will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, August 17, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel 701 Highway 21 Mount Hope WV, 25880 with Pastor Michael Taylor and Rev. Loretta Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Willis Branch Cemetery in Pax.

Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home in Mount Hope.
