Eunice Audrey Love, Nov. 7, 1935 - February 17, 2026.
Our beloved Audrey went home to the Lord on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026. She passed peacefully at Bowers Hospice House.
Born the youngest to four brothers in a coal camp at Carlisle, she was fiercely loved and loved fiercely. At 16 she married the love of her life, the late Shirley Love, and they would go on to live 68 years together yielding three children, six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Audrey was a nurse for 40 years, an educator, and a small business owner several times over alongside her husband. She was a Lady in the gentry understanding of southern hospitality. She was a force for good and a reckoning for nonsense. She was a healing hand and a spitfire mother and Gran. She loved Jesus and was a faithful prayer warrior and lifelong Bible study member. She was a member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church for more than 70 years and she was in the Eastern Star.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, her husband Shirley, and her son Steve. Those left to carry her memory include her son Jim, daughter Christie (Judy); sister-in-law Margaret; grandchildren Jim (Mary Nell), Matt (Allison), Robert (Amanda), Marybeth, Ben (Tiffany) and Mike (Jessie); 13 great grandchildren; special friends Curtis Miller and Jeanie Criago; and an entire host of cousins and adopted friend/family members she loved dearly throughout her life.
Services will be held at the Oak Hill United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 21st. Viewing at 12:00 followed by funeral services at 1:00 with Dr. Ken Krimmel officiating. She will be buried alongside her husband Shirley at High Lawn.
Flowers can be sent to Tyree Funeral Home or the Oak Hill United Methodist Church.
