Surrounded by his loving family, Eugene Carson Marshall, Jr., 66, of Beaver, WV passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, WV.

Born July 04, 1954, in Augusta, GA on Fort Gordon Army Base, he was the son of Phyllis England and Milton Gillespie, and the late Eugene Marshall, Sr.

Eugene was a 1973 graduate from Mount Hope High School. He was a retired coal miner and after retiring from the mines he took pride in working for the WV turnpike as a part time landscaper. He was a loyal member of the Cool Ridge Freewill Baptist Church in Cool Ridge, WV.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loyal and devoted wife, Bonnie Carter Marshall; children, John David "JD" Marshall (Brandee), Jeremy Marshall, Mandy Marshall, Mikey Adkins (Sheranda), and Brian Adkins (Chanda); 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Greg Marshall, Larry Gillespie (Tracie), and Rank Marshall (Rhonda); sister, Pam Marshall; special nephew, Randy James; fur babies, Charlie and Mikeydoodle; step mother, Judy Marshall; and ex wife, Dorothy White.

Services will be Friday, June 4, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Pastor Danny Gilfilen officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, WV. Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Friday at the funeral home.

Those planning to attend should use proper COVID 19 precautions by wearing masks and observing social distancing of 6 feet.
