Ermel Ray Wriston, 70, of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.

Born June 27, 1956 in Oak Hill, WV. he was the son of the late Tracy Ermel Wriston and Annetta Fern Adkins Wriston.

Ermel was a proud graduate from Oak Hill High School and he retired from the Department of Highways. In his leisure he enjoyed being outdoors working on the yard, 4 wheel riding, hunting, feeding and watching his hummingbirds. He enjoyed cookouts with his family and friends as he loved talking to others and laughing. Most importantly he was a family man and surrounded himself with his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brother, and other family members as they meant the world to him.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife, Kerri Withrow Wriston; 3 children, Amanda Wilkins, Casey Grubb, and Jayme Grubb; 3 grandchildren, Petey Palko, Michael Haney, and Isabella Pennington; 9 great grandchildren, Braxton, Serenity, Hunter, Mylabelle, Carter, Jansen, Jase, Payton, and Adalyn; 3 sisters, Shelia Caldwell (Bob), Kathy Wriston, and Aleida Wriston; brother, Dwayne Wriston; and many nieces and nephews.
