Elijah Daniel Treadway

Elijah Daniel Treadway, 76, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.

Born January 19, 1947 in Robson, WV he was the son of the late Elijah A. and Mary Alice Pennington Treadway.

Elijah was a proud United States Army Veteran, retired as an electrician, and in his leisure time he enjoyed collecting antiques and singing. Elijah was a proud devoted and outstanding Christian of the Oak Hill Baptist Church for over 30 years and lead many of people to accept Christ as there Savior. His greatest joy in life was being a proud husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife, Dreama June Walton Treadway; 2 daughters, Pam Horrocks (Ernie) and Christy Wilkins (Kenny); 3 grandchildren, Samantha Wilkins, Joseph Wilkins, and James Wilkins; sister, Patsy Higginbotham; and many special nieces and nephews.

Graveside service  will be 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Cunard Cemetery in Cunard, West Virginia with Pastor Larry Humphreys officiating. Burial will follow the graveside service.

Visitation for friends will be from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill.
