Edmond Edward Stearns, Sr. 71, of Daniels passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born January 28, 1955 in Burlington, Wisconsin he was the son of the late Irving Stearns and Katherine Cianchetti Stearns.

Edmond graduated from East Harvard High School, was a proud United States Army Veteran retiring after 20 years of service and was part of the ROTC and FSC. In his leisure he enjoyed collecting baseball cards and coins, fishing, watching horse racing, participating in Beckley Little League. He also was helped as a baseball coach at Richwood High School. Most of all he was a family man and loved spending time with them especially his  grandchildren.

Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Stearns; and sister, Kathy Stearns.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife of 48 years  Sheryl Peno Stearns; 3 children, Melissa A. Scott (Kenneth), Edmond Stearns, Jr., and Richard Thomas (Jamie); grandchildren, Isaac Stearns, Allie Marie Stearns, and Lexi Stearns; and siblings, Irving Stearns, Jr., Carol Dart (Dave), and Billy Stearns.

In keeping with Mr. Edmond Stearns, Sr. wishes he will be cremated with no services.
