Dr. Charles Edward Shelton, Dds.

Dr. Charles Edward Shelton, DDS. age 71 of Oak Hill, WV, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2022. Born January 14, 1951, in Oak Hill, WV, he was the son of the late Dr. James Henry and Mary Jane Shelton.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by sister, Joan K. Whanger.
Charles enjoyed cooking and gardening but devoted most of his time to being a active member of the Oak Hill United Methodist Church, helping with the youth group. He Coached soccer for Oak Hill High School and was a member of the Oak Hill Lions Club.
He will be missed dearly by loving wife, Mildred Louise Shelton, children, Charles E. Shelton, Jr., James A. Shelton, and Kathryn Grace Sullivan (Justin), grandchildren; Treasure, Katelynn, Cameron, Madison, Olivia, and Hope, siblings; James H. Shelton II, and Richard C. Shelton.
A service will be held on Saturday July 23, 2022, at the Oak Hill United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time. Pastor Ken Krimmel will be officiating.
A graveside service will be Sunday July 24, 2022 at High Lawn Memorial Park at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made towards St. Jude Children's Hospital https://www.stjude.org/donate 501 St. Jude Place • Memphis, TN 38105.
