Donna M. Biggs

December 22, 1942 – July 30, 2025

Donna M. Biggs, 82, of Mullens, WV, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 30, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 22, 1942, in Covel, WV, she was the daughter of the late Shadric Whitt and Margaret Whitt. Donna lived a life full of love, faith, and grace.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend. She shared many years of faith, family, and companionship with her late husband, George. Her gentle spirit, kind heart, and unwavering faith in God were a source of strength and comfort to those around her.

Donna was a faithful servant of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and served as a faithful member of Amigo Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years. Rooted deeply in her Christian faith, she lived a life that reflected Christ’s love. A woman of prayer, humility, and quiet strength, her faith was evident in the way she cared for others, supported her family, and carried herself with dignity and grace through many difficult trials and tribulations. Whether through her church involvement, acts of kindness, or her daily walk with the Lord, she left a lasting legacy of compassion and devotion.

She loved the beach and enjoyed spending her vacation every summer at Ocean Isle Beach, NC, where she made many cherished memories with her family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Sheree Thomas and her husband, Jerry Wayne, of Mullens; her son, Nick Biggs and his wife, LeAnn, also of Mullens; her grandchildren: Kara Shumate, Justin Thomas, Amanda Price, Brooke Bailey, Meagan McClaugherty, Andrew Thomas, Brady Biggs, Owen Biggs, and Avery Biggs; her great-grandchildren: Rileigh Mullins, Charlie Price, Kinsley Brown, Maddie Thomas, Mason Bailey, Makynzie McClaugherty, Myles Bailey, Hadley Thomas, Maddox McClaugherty, Christian Price, Mia Bailey, Jaycee Shumate, and Kami Shumate; and her great-great-granddaughter, Amelia Price. Also left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Roger Whitt and Jack Whitt; and her sisters, Rosanna Mongeni and Debbie Cook.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her daughter, Stephanie; her son, Jeremy “Jay”; her parents, Shadric and Margaret Whitt; her sisters, Sharon Hunter and Teresa Weis; and her brother, Donnie Whitt.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at Amigo Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 12:00 PM, with Pastor Curtis England officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, and all who knew and loved her are invited to attend and celebrate her homegoing.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV, in Donna’s memory.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Bowers Hospice House, as well as the compassionate caregivers from Princeton Community Hospital and Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, for the loving care they provided during Donna’s final days.

Pallbearers will be Brady Biggs, Owen Biggs, Andrew Thomas, Alan Lambert, Jeff Lambert, Justin Thomas, and Mason Bailey.
