Dollie Kathleen (Goode) Ward

Dollie Kathleen Good Ward, 82, of Oak Hill passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Ansted Center in Ansted with her family by her side.

Born September 2, 1943 in Bud Mountain, WV she was the daughter of the late Alex Goode and Della Moran Goode.

Dollie was a homemaker and in her leisure she enjoyed canning, cooking, working in her garden, sitting on the porch, tending to her chickens, and most of all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Sidney Ward; son, Johnnie Allen Ward; daughter, Patty Furrow; grandchild, Stephen; sisters, Patty Harris and Mildred Dixon; and brothers, Dale Goode and Melvin Goode.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her three loving children, Lynn Stafford (Bobbie), Julie Humphrey (David), and Alex Ward and companion (Samantha Conley); seven grandchildren Elena, Sarah,  April, Lucas, Bobbie Jr., Gary Allen, and Davy, Jr.; five great grandchildren, Gracie, Shellie, Maddy, J.J., and Jacob; one brother, Larry Goode; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill with Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service at funeral home in Oak Hill.
