David Stephen Williams

David Stephen Williams, 84, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, passed away on February 20, 2026. 

He was born in Carlisle, West Virginia, to the late Rolla McClure Williams and Dolly Georgia Crawford Williams. He is preceded by his brother Rolla Duwaine Williams and his two sisters who wish not to be listed. David dedicated more than 25 years of his life to working as a coal miner, providing faithfully for his family through hard work and perseverance.

Above all, David was a loving and devoted father who took immense pride in raising his five children. He cherished time spent with his family and found great joy in the outdoors. One of his favorite pastimes was exploring nature in search of significant artifacts of Native American culture — a hobby that reflected his curiosity, patience, and appreciation for history.

He is survived by his beloved children: Tena Tincher, David Carlos Williams, Caitlin Julie Ann Williams, Jeremiah McClure Williams, Jared James Ira Williams. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Tena, Lena, Becky, Dakota, Gracie, Kelsey, Harley, Jewel, Bryce, Lacy, and Delilah DeVita.

A  graveside service will be held on February 23, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill. Services are being conducted by Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill, West Virginia.

David will be remembered for his strength, his love for his family, and the quiet joy he found in the beauty of the natural world.
