Curtis Harold Peters, 87, of Oak Hill, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2026 at 11:40 PM. 

He was born on June 3, 1939 in South Caperton, WV to Kenneth and Alice Peters.

After serving in the Army, he worked construction in Atlanta, Georgia for several years before returning to West Virginia. He worked at Montgomery General Hospital in maintenance and later retired from the Montgomery Post Office.

Harold is proceeded in death by his wife, Carol Peters, a daughter, Patricia Peters-Nelson; and a granddaughter, Stacey McClung.

Those left to carry his memory are his daughter, Becky McClung and husband Danny of Keysville, VA; his son, Randy Peters and wife Christy of Oak Hill WV; his granddaughter, Allie Mullins and husband Matt of Oak hill; his grandson, Seth Nelson of Oakhill; 4 great grandchildren, Jaxyn Mullins, Grace and Ryleigh Harper, and Madison Nelson; and special friend, Dody Lupu of Florida.

Funeral service will held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens in Oak Hill.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
