Christopher Lee Wygal

Christopher Lee Wygal, Chris "Doodad" passed away on January 9, 2024. Chris was diagnosed with cancer in 2015 and fought the fight for eight years.

Born November 11, 1960 in Beckley. He graduated from Mt. Hope High School in 1979.

Chris was an avid Harley rider, it was something he always enjoyed, especially trips to the Scenic Highway. He was President of the Beckley Gun Club and a deer hunter. Chris worked his whole life from a white water guide to a equipment operator. He acquired a life long network of friends along the way.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Jack Wygal.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Carol Wygal, who has a special place in her heart for her first son; sister, Debbie Wygal Dorsey; brother, Scott Wygal and his wife, Brittani; nephews, Eric (Liz) Dorsey, John Dorsey, and Jax Wygal; nieces, Jessica (Martin) Pierce, Kayln Wygal and Callie Wygal; great nephews, Kolton, Jack, and Benjamin; great niece, Abigail, Chris took great pleasure buying gifts for his nieces and nephews. Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who he enjoyed seeing. Chris acquired special lifelong friends who were like family to him, Danny (Christy), Ernie (Paula) and Kevin.

Services will be 1:00 P.M., Monday, January 15, 2024 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel, Oak Hill with Pastor John Pritchard officiating. Burial will follow in the Huse Memorial Park,  Fayetteville.

Friends may call from 11AM until time of service Monday at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill.

The family would like to thank the physicians from the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Antonelli, and the Carl Larson Cancer Center. A special thank you to Ernie, Danny, and his brother Scott for the trips to Cleveland.

Chris leaves a void, always ready with a joke or prank. We love you!
