Cheryl Lynn Baume

Cheryl Lynn Smith Baume, age 58, of Beckley, WV, passed away on Friday August 13, 2021.

Born April 23, 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Carolyn J. Vandall Williams and the late Kenneth L. Williams and

Cheryl was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving in Operation Desert Storm. She was the first woman from West Virginia to serve in the Marine Corps. Cheryl played piano, was an avid gardener and attended the Bradley Freewill Baptist Church.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Jeremy Mayer, daughter, Jess Mayer (Meg) and her loving and caring fiancé, Danny Aldridge.

Services will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at the Bradley Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Daniel Legg officiating. Burial, with military graveside honors, will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.

While masks are not required you might consider wearing one upon entering the building as we all attempt to stop the spread of COVID 19.
