Catherine "Kitty" Rackley

Catherine "Kitty" Berry Rackley, 93, of Oak Hill, WV died on Wednesday, March 02, 2005 following a long illness. Born April 21, 1911 at Platts Bridge, England she was the daughter of the late John and Cecilia Dunbar Berry. Mrs. Rackley was a member of the Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church, Oak Hill, WV, the A.A.R.P., and was a Volunteer Senior Citizen for many years. She was a homemaker. Kitty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Julius Rackley; two sons, John Martin and Robert Lee Rackley; four brothers, William, James, Howard and Harold Berry; three sisters, Elsie Neuman, Nellie Robinson and Evelyn Wofford. Survivors include one son, Jim Rackley and wife, Diana, of Fairfield, TN; one brother, John "Jack" Berry and wife, Cathern, of Oak Hill; one sister, Beatrice Page of Oak Hill; seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Thursday, March 3, 2005, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Services will be on Friday, March 4, 2005, at 10:00 am at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Rev. Roy G. Crist officiating. Burial will be at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill WV.
