Carol Jean White Vanover, 74, of Scarbro passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
born April 20,. 1948 in Dearborn , MI she was the daughter of the late Lockard White, Sr. and Effie Long White.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Charles Vanover; and brother, Lockard White, Jr..
Those left to cherish her memory include her four children which she loved so much, Melissa Soutar and son-in-law Dave of Jackson, MI, Stephanie Waugh and Husband Harry of Scarbro, WV, Charles Vanover, Jr. and wife Jamie of Beckley, WV, and Brian Vanover of Oak Hill, WV.
Carol loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren so much. 10 grandchildren, Brandon, David, Brittany, Kandis, Heather, Chase, Brian, Jr., Justin, Jordon, and Madison; 11 great grandchildren, Adrianna, Ryder, Abel, Brooklynn, Ellie Rae, Gracelyn, Colten, Olivia, Nylah, Grayson, and Sophia.
Carol loved going on vacations with her family. She loved the beach and shopping. She loved celebrating holidays and birthdays. Most of all Carol loved spending time with her family.
Funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
