Carla Harvey Arrington
November 24, 1959 — August 22, 2021
Carla Jo (Harvey) Arrington, 61, went home to be with the Lord on August 22, 2021. A lifelong Oak Hill native, she was born there on November 24, 1959, the loving daughter of the late Carl Joseph and Christine Harvey.
Carla was a generous soul and went out of her way to show those around her how much she cared for them. She never knew a stranger and was a dear friend to many. A 1978 graduate of Oak Hill High School, she would often be seen at Kroger where she worked for 25 years. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as a member of Mountain View Church of God.
She is survived by her cherished children, Christopher Epperly of Morgantown, West Virginia and Christina Epperly of Lexington, Kentucky, and she was the proud Mamaw to Kailey Criss of Lexington, Maddox Epperly of Morgantown, and Madalyn Epperly of Westville, Florida. She is also survived by her brother, Jim Bill (Sharon) Harvey as well as countless close friends.
Carla was known for her beautiful smile, compassionate spirit, and most of all, her deep love for her family and friends. She was always there for anyone in need, including any kittens who arrived on her doorstep. She will be missed immensely.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Mountain View Church of God in Hilltop. Dr. Emmitt C. Patterson will officiate. Masks are required to attend the service.
