Carl Edward Cheek, 81, of Packs Branch passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at CAMC Memorial in Charleston.

Born October 27, 1944 in Tomahawk, Kentucky he was the son of the late Buel Cheek and Jewell (Turner) Cheek.

Carl was a proud United States Army Veteran, he worked in construction as a Stone Mason, and in his leisure he enjoyed hunting, playing cards, and most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Cheek; and 2 sisters, Janice Veramessa and Lana Pittman.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving children, Jennifer Kessinger (Michael), Rick Cheek, and Jessica Muse; 9 grandchildren, Kayla Kessinger, Kelli Kessinger, JonPaul Kessinger, Jacob Kessinger, Jason Kessinger, Kyra Kessinger, Ryan Muse, Zach Muse, and Ayden Muse; 6 great grandchildren, Anderson Policap-Kessinger, Macie Kessinger, Katie Policap-Kessinger, Joanna Pollicap-Kessinger, Warren Kessinger, and Kayce Kessinger; 4 siblings, Rocky Hall, Irene Butcher, Frieda Draught, Brenda Mullins.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel 701 Highway 21 Mount Hope WV, 25880 with Pastor Ronald Sears officiating. Burial will follow at Pax Community Cemetery in Pax, WV.

Friends may visit wit the family from 11:30 AM until 12:00 Noon at the funeral home in Mount Hope.

Pallbearers will be, JonPaul Kessinger, Ryan Muse, Jacob Kessinger, Zachry Muse, Jason Kessinger, and Ayden Muse.
