“I'm Sexy” was a favorite saying of Buddie's; he loved to make people smile. Buddie James Anders, Sr., age 83, of Princewick, WV, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born December 24, 1936, in Welch, WV, he was the son of the late Fred and Georgia Marie Sanders Anders.
Buddie was a truck driver at Roadway Express in Cheyenne, Wyoming for 28 years. After his retirement he returned to West Virginia,
He was a member of Word of Faith Assembly in Daniels, was a collector of model cars, never met a stranger and was a lover of his cigars.
Several brothers, sisters and one grandchild preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory include his loving wife and caretaker of 37 years Barbara Criss Anders, his children, Elsie of Florida, Brenda, Sandra, Linda, Buddie Jr. and Juanita of Indiana, and his 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Kenny Hayes officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:30 am until the service time on Saturday. In honoring Buddie's wishes he will be cremated following services.
