Bobby Gene Wright , 80, of Mount Hope, WV passed away died Thursday, December 02, 2021 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV.
Born March 25, 1941 in Pax, WV he was the son of the late Roy and Stella Jane Harvey Wright.
Bobby was a proud United States Army Veteran, a tanker 19 Kilo. He was a telecommunication specialist for Western Electric in Indiana and worked as a coal miner, A gospel singer, Bobby enjoyed writing hymns over and over to sing. He was a profound Elvis impersonator, he enjoyed watching his Western shows, and loved to live life to the fullest the best he could.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet Sanger Wright.
Those left to cherish his memory include sons, David Wright (Tina) and Danny Howard (Jennifer); 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; brother, Tommy Wright; sister, Carol Pennington; and care givers, Camden Houchins and Robin Spears.
Graveside services with burial to follow will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley with Pastor Sam Vance officiating.
Visitation for friends will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:50 PM
In lieu of flowers donations of sympathy can be made to the Veteran's Administration Hospital, 200 Veterans Avenue, Beckley WV 25801
While masks are not required you might consider wearing one before entering the building as we all attempt to stop the spread of COVID 19.
