Billy Ray Raynes, 91, of Robson, WV went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, August 24, 2026, following a brief illness.

Born on October 6, 1934, Billy was the son of the late Luther Buel and Clella Opal (Bess) Raynes.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a minister who loved preaching the Gospel, whenever and wherever given the opportunity.

He was greeted in Heaven by his loving wife of 67 years, Trula Jean Light Raynes and infant daughter, Pamela Jean Raynes, as well as siblings Elmer, L.B., Gail, and Margaret.

Cherishing his memory are daughters Vicki Oyler (Joe) and Jennifer Phillips (Dewayne); grandchildren Holli Bailey, Guy Wolfe (Candace) and Nathan Wolfe (Jenni); great-grandchildren Madison, Makayla, Macie, Dakota and Alli. Billy is also lovingly survived by his twin sister, Drema Hannah; brother, Larry Raynes (Norma Jean); and sister-in-law, Patricia Raynes.

Services will be held at Tyree Funeral Home 999 Jones Avenue Oak Hill, WV 25901 on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Visitation for friends will be from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM, Pastor Doug Raynes officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV.
