Berta Wright

Berta Lee Wright, 91, of Mount Hope, WV died on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV following a short illness. Born March 20, 1912 at Orange County, VA she was the daughter of the late John and Rose Williams Lee. Mrs. Wright was a housewife and mother and a member of the Assembly of God, Mount Hope, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Wright; sons, Ersil, Merrill and Stintson Wright; brothers, Frank, Rufus and Harry Lee; sisters, Hilda Hugart, Ethel Brown, Brooksie Simms and Margaret McClung. Survivors include Daughters: Reba Callaway of Packs Branch Ruby Folver of New Lebanon, OH Retha Wright of Packs Branch Sons: Sterl Wright of Packs Branch Earl Wright of Vass Branch Sisters: Marcella Myres of Christiansburg, VA Evelyn Richmond of Sidney, OH 19 grandchildren 11 great grandchildren 9 great great grandchildren Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope, WV on Thursday, August 28, 2003, from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Services will be on Friday, August 29, 2003 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Rev. Robert Ayers, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Wright Family Cemetery, Packs Branch WV.
