Barbara Jean Peterson, age 80, of Belva, WV, passed away peacefully while at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV, on October 7, 2021.
Born March 3, 1941, in Dothan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Emmitt Elbert “Burt” and Frances Lorene Lively Painter.
Barbara was a devoted mother and will be missed dearly.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Peterson.
She is survived by son, Erik Peterson; siblings, David Painter (Naomi), Stella Snyder (Bob), Shirley Schultz, and Brenda Powers; and grandchildren, Emme Peterson, Olive Peterson, and Ivy Peterson.
Keeping with her wishes Barbara will be cremated. No service is planned at this time.
