Barbara Ann (Mitchell) Adkins

Barbara Ann Mitchell Adkins, 71, of Luray, VA passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

Born August 6, 1954 in Manassas, VA she was the daughter of the late Howard Ward and Katherine Kitts Mitchell.

Barbara was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.

Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her son Michael Anderson.

Those left to cherish her wonderful memory include her loving husband, Ronald Adkins; daughter, Amy Thorton of Manassas, VA; sons, Mitchell Adkins of Luray, VA and Ronald Adkins II of Fredricksburg, VA; 4 grandchildren, Jamie, Jessica, Samantha, and Julie; 2 great grandchildren, Levi and Oliver; and a sister, Lisa Marckesano of Manassas, VA.

Graveside service with burial to follow will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Gethsemane Memorial Garden in Oak Hill with Pastor Delmas Wolfe officiating.

Visitation for friends will be from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Tyree Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Hill, WV.
