Ann Friend Tolliver, 84, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 27, 2025 surrounded by her family.
Born April 6th 1942 in Turner Douglas, WV to the late George & Mabel Friend she was the last member of her immediate family.
Ann was a member and served the Herndon Freewill Baptist church as the Pastor’s wife, Ladies auxiliary president and pianist for 47 years. With her slogan “Remember who you represent” She was a mother figure to all the congregation and she loved them all dearly. She loved having a house full of people and always had a delicious meal on the table.
She longed for Heaven to be reunited with her husband Rev. Oakey Tolliver, son Stacy Tolliver, great grandson Ethan Lowe, 14 siblings, brother in laws Benny Whittemore, David Tolliver, Teddy Tolliver and her best friend Gloria Slone.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons Buddy Tolliver and wife Debbie, Jeff Tolliver and wife Patty and daughter Denise Milam and husband Robbie.
Grandkids that her world revolved around Josh (Laura) Lowe, Ben (Joni) Tolliver, Andrea (Gary) Keaton, Amber (Daniel) Pease, Megan (TJ) Bennett and Cody Lowe.
Great grandkids Noelle, William, Emma, Caylee, Luke, Elijah, Kenize, Isaiah, Isaac, Peyton and Mason who she spoiled with her hugs and kisses.
Brother in law Roger (Sis) Tolliver, Sister in laws Rosemary Whittemore, Linda Tolliver, Pat Tolliver and Pat (David) Brooks. Nieces & nephews who she loved as her own. Caregivers Paula & Annie Cook who made her last days full of love and laughter.
Services will be 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Herndon Freewill Baptist Church, Herndon with Rev. Richard Massie and Rev. William "Pope" Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the family cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday at the church.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family would like to thank John Karper, all the staff at Mullens FHC and Hospice of WV for all their support and kindness shown.
