Alice Faye Berry

Alice Faye Berry, 77, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley.

Born February 2, 1949 at Carlisle, she was born to James and Garnett Jenkins and was adopted at six weeks old and raised by her grandmother, Catherine Jenkins and her aunt, Etta "Ditty" Jenkins.

Alice was a 1967 graduate of Mount Hope High School, she was a homemaker, and Presbyterian by faith. In her leisure she enjoyed gardening, quick and witty (she loved to joke), but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren who were her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald R. Berry, Sr.; son, Ronald R. Berry, Jr.; two brothers; and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Amanda Berry Pemberton of Maple Fork; two grandchildren, Alayna Scarbro and her fiance, Sloan Tracy of Oak Hill and Aden Scarbro of Oak Hill; one great grandson, Huxton Tracy; and one sister, Helen Jones (Lewis) of Oak Hill.

In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated, and there will be no services at this time.
