Alan Wayne Sullivan

Alan Wayne Sullivan, 73, of Mt. Nebo, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026 in a Beckley hospital. 

Born October 30, 1952, at Oak Hill, he was the son of the late Paul Fredrick and Peggy Jean (Payne) Sullivan. 

Alan was a graduate of Collins High School, Oak Hill. He was a former mechanic. In his leisure, he enjoyed spending time with his dog, Ernie who was his best friend and companion and riding side by sides with his family. 

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death one daughter, Stephanie Ann Hayes; son, Frederick Alan "Ricky" Sullivan; and one grandson, Ray Alan Sullivan. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Christy "Chrissy" Thomas (James); brother, Daniel "Danny" Sullivan; sister, Patricia Johnson (Roger); mother of his children, Ann Sullivan; Jeff Gee who was like a son; his best friend and companion, Ernie; three grandchildren, Regina Underwood (Christian, Cassie Thomas, and Derrick Sullivan; four great grandchildren, Kristina and Jaxon Underwood and Noah and Aubree Sullivan all of Oak Hill; and nieces and nephews, Wesley Sullivan (Vicki) and Paul Sullivan of North Carolina and Danielle Kincaid of Oak Hill. 

In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated, and a memorial graveside service wil be held at a later date.
