Our loving and kind hearted husband and father, Stephen Michael Scarbrough, 58, of Oak Hill, WV died Saturday, October 1, 2016 at his residence.

Born April 10, 1958 in Oak Hill, WV he was the son of Kenneth Scarbrough of South Carolina and the late JoAnn Weeks Scarbrough.

Stephen was the owner of a landscape business. He loved his family dearly; was crazy about NASCAR and was always known for his one-liners.

Two sons, Waylon and Kenny Scarbrough preceded him in death.

In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Sherri Lynn Scarbrough; two sons, Steven Cardona of Pennsylvania and Michael Cardona of Virginia;  three daughters, Stephanie Cardona of Virginia, Ashley Shepard  and Sarah Murphy  both of Oak Hill; three brothers, Larry Scarbrough, Wayne Scarbrough and Nathan Scarbrough all of Virginia; two sisters, Melinda Smith of West Virginia and Cheryl Dixon of South Carolina; and twenty-two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, WV at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Melvin Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Oak Hill. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from noon until service time at the funeral home
