Ruth Roberts Riser

In the early morning hours of Friday, November 19, 2021, with her family by her side, Heaven gained another Angel when our precious mother and grandmother Ruth Leona Roberts Riser stepped from this world into the next.
Born November 04, 1928, in Layland, WV, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie Hicks Roberts.
Ruth worked as a factory worker for Sheller Globe in Union City, IN but her life's work was being a wife and mother, caring for her family whom she loved so very much. She was a loyal and faithful member of the Carlisle First Church of God and was a very active woman who enjoyed playing baseball and bowling.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Robert Riser, Sr. (8/6/1999); sons, Johnnie Riser, Richard Riser, and William Riser, Jr.; brother, Harry Roberts; and sisters, Mae Cody, Pauline Krawchison and Betty Verity.
Those left to cherish her loving and adoring memory include her children, Carol Lester (Keith) and Michael Riser (Michelle); grandchildren, Robert, Spencer, Tracy, Elizabeth, Joseph, Kayla, Bailey, Renee, Cole, Donna, Lee, and Jessica; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Richard Allen officiating Entombment will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801 or Alzheimer's Association, 1601 Second Avenue, Charleston WV 25387.
