Roger Dale "Saw Man" Smith , 78, of Summersville, WV passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
Born April 26, 1943 in Page, WV he was the son of the late Andrew Jasper and Willie Mae McCormick Smith.
Roger was a retired concrete saw operator - a job which earned him that CB title "Saw Man." He was a member of the Oak Hill Lodge No. 120 A.F. & A.M.
His son, Waymon Dale Smith; brothers, Stanley Smith, Bobby Lee Smith, Lenard E. Smith, James A. Smith; and sisters, Etha Robertson, Grace Lewis, and Elsie Hughes preceded her in death.
His memory will be cherished by his companion of 27 years, Schirl Lynn Spinks; grandsons, Roger Lavell Smith, Waymon Dale Smith, Jr., and John Noah Smith; sisters, Dolly Keffer, Patty Manning and Leona Dye; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services will be on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Pastor Ron George officiating Burial will be at Kincaid Cemetery, Kincaid. Friends may call from 12:30 pm until service time.
While masks are not required you might consider wearing one before entering the building as we all attempt to stop the spread of COVID 19.
