Robert E. (Bob) Neely, 82, of Oak Hill - loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Bowers hospice House in Beckley following a short illness.
Bob was born November 29, 1936 in Conard, WV to the late Lacy Neely, and Clara Ingles Jones.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 plus years, Polly Poff Neely.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two daughters, Donna Hodge and husband Ron Hodge of Oak Hill, and Denyse Flint and Husband Rick Flint of Fayetteville; granddaughter Heather Hewitt of Oak hill; family members, and friends.
Bob was best known for his work at the City of Oak Hill where he received awards for patrolling the school zones and helping the children and teachers. He will be sadly missed by all. Prior to that he worked for Long-Airdox Company in Oak Hill.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Mike Kees officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
