Richard Crinton Toney

Richard Crinton “Fiddler” Toney, 87, of Oak Hill passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at Hilltop Nursing and Rehabilitation center.
Born November 11, 1931 in Carlisle, WV he was the son of the late Carl “Kit” and Winnie Thompson Toney.
He is preceded in death by brothers, Cap, Stuart, Sam and Chris and sisters, Mabel, Darcus, and Frances.
Those left to cherish his memory include, a nephew Walter C. Boardwine of Elkins; a brother, William Toney of Hertford, NC; two sisters, Mary Cumbow of Hilltop and Patsy Speca of Baltimore MD; as well as many other family members and friends.
Visitation for friends will be Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill from 11:30 A.M. To 12:45 P.M. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 P.M. at High Lawn Memorial Park with Pastor Lum Toney officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations of sympathy be made to Hospice of Southern West Virginia P.O. Box 1472 Beckley WV, 25802.
