Ralph William Candler

Our loving father, Ralph W. Candler, 89, of Fayetteville went to meet his Lord and Savior on Monday, December 3, 2018.
Born February 10, 1929 in Peterstown, WV he was the son of the late Joseph B. and Lula Whitlow Candler.
Ralph was a retired welder for Long Airdox in Oak Hill. He served his Lord and Savior with every fiber of his being attending the Summerlee Wesleyan Church where he served as Sunday school teacher and superintendent for many years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, of 65 years Anna Lee Canterbury Candler; son, Larry Wayne Candler; grandson, Robert A. Candler; four brothers, Edward, Aaron, Howard, and Billy Candler; and three sisters, Norma Gaye, Anna Grace, and Evelyn.
Those left to cherish his memory include a son, Ralph Joseph Candler; two daughters, Carol Rinehart, and Debra Candler McCoy; nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, a sister, Ola Maw Patton; many nieces and nephews; and a special care giver Ms Della Lewis.
Funeral Service will be 12:00 noon Friday, December 7, 2018 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Robert Moore officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
