Phyllis Davis Bonifacio

November 19, 1931 — March 17, 2019

Our beloved mother Phyllis Katherine Davis Bonifacio passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at her residence.

Born November 19, 1931 in Mill Creek, WV she was the daughter of the late Ernest F. and Lillian Linkenhoker Davis.

Phyllis was a 1949 graduate from Mount Hope High School. She married the love of her life Floyd Bonifacio  August 22, 1955 and together they owned and operated Bon-Bon Confectionery and Hardware in Mount Hope. A life long member of the Mount Hope Baptist Temple, she was proud of her town and very involved in the Mount Hope Jubilee. In 2009 she and her husband were Co Grand Marshall's for the Jubilee Parade.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Floyd Bonifacio; son, Phillip Rock Bonifacio; and brother, Kenneth Davis.

Those left to cherish her memory include two loving sons, Doug Bonifacio and wife, Karen of Beckley and Dean Bonifacio and wife, Lori of Beaver; brother, Curt Davis; and many friends.

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Pastor Jessie Parker officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 11:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.

The family would like to give special thanks to all the caregivers and Hospice who came to the house to take care of their mother.

Pallbearers will be Ken Maynor, Steve Matheny, Tommy Smith, George Smith, Danny Logan, and Kenneth Kelly; Honorary Pallbearer will be Carl Murdock.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley WV 25801.
