Marvin Lee Morton

Marvin Lee Morton, age 75, formerly of Warren, Michigan, passed away February 2, 2019 at Poca, WV.

Born on September 15, 1943 at Fort Dix Army Base in Burlington, New Jersey, he was the eldest son of the late Marvin H. Morton and Ruby Grose Morton.

He was a retired water plant operator for the City of Detroit and a former employee of Kroger. He was raised in Ames Heights and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Marvin was a gentle, easy going guy and whoever met him, loved him. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by sister, Beverly Gwinn.

He is survived by son, Anthony S. Morton of Baltimore, MD and siblings Ronnie M. (Carol) Morton of St. Clair Shores, MI, Roger L. (Susan) Morton of Sterling Heights, MI, Jennifer G. (Dale) Davis of Elkview, David K. (RoseAnn) Morton of Roseville, MI, Keith A. (Margie) Morton of Charleston, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his uncle, Jack C. Grose of Hico.

Visitation will be held at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 11:00 am at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill with Father Soosai Arokiadass officiating. Burial will be at Legg Cemetery, Stringtown Road, Hico.
