Lockie Jane Worrell Davis Rakes, 97, of Mount Hope died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Hilltop Nursing and Rehab Center, Hilltop, WV.
Born, April 13, 1920 at Sand Branch. she was the daughter of the late William and Florence Ada Boyd Worrell.
Loving husbands Howard Davis and Lewis Rakes; sons; Leslie Davis and Leo Davis; sisters: Easter Clay, Vada Painter and Delphia Davis; and brother, Elmer Worrell preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children: Eddie Davis, Ernest Davis and Rick Davis all of Maple Fork, Robert Davis of Alabama, Kay Bair of Prosperity, and Karen Bragg of Charleston; daughter-in-law, Doretta Davis Crowe; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, August 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home in Mount Hope with Rev. Jerry Tyree officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
