Linzie Edward Mote

Linzie Edward Mote , 87, of Mount Hope, WV passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at home in Mount Hope, WV.
Born November 18, 1933, in Dahlonega, GA he was the son of the late Clydia Mote.
Linzie was in the Merchant Marines. He worked for Lorain Products and also was a taxi driver. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by son, Charles Mote; and three brothers, Jewell Mote, Jimmy Mote and Winford Mote.
Those left to cherish his loving memory include children, Sara Evans (Richard), Edward Mote, Ronald Mote (Anya), and Linzie Mote, Jr.; multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
Funeral service will be 3:00 PM on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Tyree Funeral Home, Mount Hope with Pastor Luke Hodges officiating. Cremation will follow.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
While masks are not required you might consider wearing one before entering the building as we all attempt to stop the spread of COVID 19.
