Keith Birdsong
July 24, 1970 — January 10, 2022
J. Keith Birdsong, age 51, of Mount Hope, WV, passed away suddenly at his home on January 10, 2022. Born July 24, 1970, he was the son of Jerald and Frances Carter Birdsong of Mount Hope, WV.
Keith was a graduate of Longwood University and Ohio University earning two bachelors degrees. He worked for WOAY TV as the creative services director. Outside of work he enjoyed music, movies, photography and golfing.
In addition to his parents he is survived by sister, Shelley Maddex (Lee) of Morgantown, WV, and his best buddy and nephew, Nate J. Maddex of Morgantown, WV.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 15, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, a visitation will be one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in memory of Keith to the Reed College of Media Scholarship Fund 2S091 to support future media professionals. Donations can be made online at WVU Foundation.
While masks are not required the family asks visitors to wear a mask and help stop the spread of COVID 19.
