Kathryn Lorene Prather, 86, of Glen Daniel, WV passed away of Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Stonerise Healthcare facility surrounded by Family and friends.
Born December 29, 1935, in Burnwell, WV she was the daughter of the late William and Florence Thompson Massey.
Kathryn was a retired CNA from Plateau Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husbands, Frank Gautier, and Charles H. Prather; four sisters, Betty Bowling, Vona Ruth Faulkner, Jane Earls, and Judy Siler; and one brother, Lewis Massey.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Mary Lee Kinley and husband Art; grandsons, Daniel (Stephanie) Kinley and their children Akasha, Michael, and Emmeline of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Benjamin of Williamsburg, Virginia; and Stephen (Sydney) Kinley and son Jackson of Anchorage, Alaska. Granddaughter-in-law, Terri Kinley of Williamsburg, Virginia; sisters, Emma Skaggs (Wayne), Nora Dalton, Dora Turner, Margaret Massey, Mary Messer (Kenny), Linda Clark (Danny), and Juanita Yurkovich (Darrell); brothers, Billy Joe Massey (Sue) and Wilburn Massey (Wincy); and a host of nieces and nephews. Very special thanks to Kathy and Joe Ofner for all their love and support for our family.
She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Friday, July 8, 2022, at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor John Rinehart officiating. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park in Oak Hill.
Visitation for friends will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home in Oak hill.
