K.W. "Bill" Singleton Jr.

Karl William "Bill" Singleton, Jr. , 73, of Scarbro, WV died on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV. Bill had a rare cancer, end-stage renal failure and multiple other illnesses due to his exposure to Agent Orange.
Born June 17, 1945 at Sutton, WV he was the son of the late Karl William Singleton, Sr. and Theresa Marguerite Shaughnessy Singleton.
He was retired custodian for the Oak Hill United Methodist Church. Bill graduated from Burnsville High School in 1963 where he was president of the Burnsville Chapter of FFA during his senior year. He of the Catholic faith and was a Vietnam Era US Army Veteran.
Two half brothers, Bryne Lee Singleton and Harold Gene Singleton preceded him in death.
Bill's memory will be forever cherished by his loving wife, Nancy Louise Warden Singleton; daughter, Heather Ann Richmond and husband, George of Scarbro; son, Master Sgt. USAF Shannon Michael Singleton and wife, Danielle of Bossier City, LA; sisters, Debra Kay McPherson and husband, Butch of Burnsville and Judith Sollars and husband, William of Cheriton, VA; and two granddaughters, Abigail Richmond and Samantha Singleton.
A memorial services will be on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill with Pastor Greg Swisher and Rev. John Savage officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 pm until service time on Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Road, Beckley, WV 25801.
