Joretta Lee Shumaker Nugen , 82, of Fayetteville, WV died on Monday, October 24, 2016 at her home.
Born December 11, 1933 at Gatewood, WV she was the daughter of the late Tom and Brittie Pennington Shumaker.
She was a retired school bus driver and a member of the Salem Road Freewill Baptist Church.
A grandson, Robby Epperly and brother, Boyd Shumaker preceded her in death.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving family which includes her husband, John S. Nugen; children, Deborah Gilliam of Beckwith, Barbara Jean Koontz of Fayetteville, Becky Koontz Neal of Fayetteville, Thomas (Tammy) Koontz of Fayetteville, Cathy (Ron) Sech of Florida, Barbara Nugen of Fayetteville, and John David Nugen of Fayetteville; brothers, Bill Shumaker of Ohio, Don Shumaker of Victor and Dwayne Shumaker of Ohio; grandchildren, Brian Settle, Roy Neal III, Nick Koontz, Sarah Koontz, Jamie Chanch and Tommy Settle; six great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastor Mike Kees officiating. Burial will be at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
