John Chester Dixon, Jr., 71, of Oak Hill, WV went to his Heavenly home on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
Born May 21, 1948 in Oak Hill, WV, he was the son of the late John Chester Dixon, Sr. and Nellie Beckelheimer Dixon.
John was a 1966 graduate of Collins High School where he was an drummer in the marching band. He went on to attend Beckley College. John retired from Sears and Lowes, and was a former Oak Hill City Councilman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Ann Rogers Dixon; two sons, John Dixon III and wife, Kerrie Dixon of Oak Hill and Robert Brian Dixon of D'iberville, Mississippi; grandson, Dylan Michael Dixon of D'iberville, Mississippi; and two step grandsons Christopher and Eric Salas.
In accordance with his wishes John will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
