John Paul Davis

John Paul Davis, age 69, of Mount Hope, WV, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022. Born August 23, 1952, in Jefferson City, Missouri, he was the son of the late Jonas Alton and Eva Lay Davis.

John served in the Army for 2 years and continued his service to our country after that, with 4 years in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He is apart of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church.

He is survived by loving wife, JoAnn Davis, son, Jason Davis (Amy), daughter, Carrie Kidd (Aubrey Dickerson), grandchildren, Alton "AJ", Lilly, Nathaniel, Caleb, and Hayden, sister, Cheryl Davis-Whittaker (Joe),very special friends; LaTony Wooten, Chris Turner, Ralph and Kathy Batchelder, sister in laws; Jessie Arthur-Tolley and Yvonne Tatum- Arthur, and nephew Carlos "Butch" Arthur.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday July 9, 2022, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM with Pastors Rick Crawford and Kelly Martin officiating.
