Jerry Gale Wood, Sr., age 60, of Scarbro, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 at CAMC General Division in Charleston, WV.
Born May 6, 1956 in Pineville, WV, he was the son of the late Norman and Glenna Electa Craigo
Wood.
Jerry formerly worked as a timber cutter and served his country in the US Army.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Barbara Ann Frazier Wood, and two brothers, Ronald Wood and Roger Dale Wood.
Left to mourn his passing is his son, Jerry Wood, Jr. and his wife, Krissie of Scarbro; two brothers, Walter Wood and his wife, Melanie of Johnsburg, IL. and Romal Wood of Los Angeles, Ca.; three sisters, Glenna Fay Sanders and her husband, Harold of East Lynn, WV, Grace Hash and her husband, Eddie of Seymour, TN. and Julie Koon and her husband, Coley of Opal, VA; and three grandchildren, Landyn, Kayla and Sienna.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Tyree Funeral Home Oak Hill. In honoring Jerry's wishes cremation will follow after services.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
