James “Jim” Henry Jones, 69, of Crab Orchard, WV passed away on Friday, August 21, 2020 at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA with his family by his side.
Born January 8, 1951 in Lochgelly, WV he was the son of the late Dewey “Red” Wilber Jones, Sr. and Florence Louise Gates Jones.
Jim was a graduate of Fayetteville High School. He was a United States Army Veteran who fought in the Vietnam War. He retired from Dr. Pepper after 41 years and was currently working part time as a dealer exchange driver for Mountaineer Ford and Crossroads Chevrolet for 4 years.
He is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jones.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Cindy Morris Jones; children, James Jones II, Misty Jones, Krista Whitt Jones, Todd Whitt (Paula), and Kelly Schultz (Aaron); grandchildren, Kenna Jones, Macyn Jones, EJ Jones, Damon Jones, Caeden Phillips, Cooper Phillips, Gracie Schultz, Leo Whitt, Oliver Whitt, Melody Whitt, and a grandchild, Miles Whitt who will be arriving in 7 weeks; brothers, Danny Jones and companion, Toni, Junior Jones (Joyce); and sisters Jane Hogan (Michael), and Brenda Pasta (Tony).
Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Crab Orchard Baptist Church 1501 Robert C. Byrd Drive, Crab Orchard, WV with Pastor Gerald Kincaid officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity, WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Those planning to attend should use proper COVID 19 precautions by wearing masks and maintaining social distancing of 6 feet.
