James “Round Man” Ellison, Sr.
James Ray Ellison, Sr. 66, of Oak Hill entered into the gates of Heaven on Sunday, July 16, 2017.
Born July 27, 1950 he was the son of the late Alvin Ellison, Sr. and Ethel Marie Campbell Ellison.
James was a devoted coal miner and a member of the Summerlee Freewill Baptist Church.
Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by two sisters; Judy Helton, and Linda Selke, and four brothers; Sonny, Charles, Robert, and Ricky Ellison.
James will be truly missed by his loving and devoted wife; Sharon, his sisters Jean, Netella, and June, his brothers; Kent and Butch Ellison, his children and their spouses; Steve and Edie Ellison, Greg and Jackie Dodd, and James and Dana Ellison II, and his grandchildren; Angel, Nathanial, Preston, Hope, Timothy, Jacqueline, and Lawrence Michael, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Noon Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Summerlee Freewill Baptist Church with Pastors James Ellison and Dwayne Pyatt officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation for friends will be 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the church.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearer.
