Hazel Rhonda Scott

Hazel Rhonda Scott of Oak Hill WV passed from this life peacefully on September 17, 2021, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 3 1958, to the late Everette Lee and Stella Eustacia (Taylor) Scott.

Hazel was a beautiful soul who above all enjoyed spending time with family and her many friends. She was very generous and loved helping and caring for others. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren as they held a special place in her heart. She was always there for anyone who needed her love, kindness, reassuring and a hug. She made the best of a situation and could bring a smile with her good cheer and laughter. To know her was to love her and she will be sadly missed. Her passing has left a void that will only be filled when we meet again in Heaven.

In addition to her parents, Hazel was preceded in death by sisters, Wanda Scott Waller, and Dorothy Long; and brother, Buddy Scott

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Barbara Vealey (Jeff), Bobby Payne (Kelly), Jennifer Payne, Justin Scott, Lyndsey Davis (Chad), Clinton Presley (Crystal), and Zach Scott (Tierra); grandchildren, Brandon, Emily, Brianna, JD, Jacob, Maddie Grace, Josiah (Jo Jo), Noah, and Paisley; and a great grand-daughter, Gracie. Also surviving are her dear sister, Lisa Scott; brother, Oral Scott (Pearl); nephews, Wesley Scott and Matthew Ellis; niece, Andrea Willis (Boo-Boo); and many dear relatives and close friends who she cared about deeply...Monie, Mary (MeMe), Ronnie Sue, Cathy Scott, Patsy, Carrie ,Evelyn, Connie, Debbie, Margeret Ann, Claudia, Tina and many others.

In keeping with her wishes, Hazel will be cremated and a celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
