Born April 26, 1948 in Oak Hill, OH, he was the son of the late Berlin and Marie Naylor Nowlin.
He worked as a crane operator
Gary was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill. He was a US Marine Corp veteran serving in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Linda and Carolyn.
Survivors include wife, Sally Nowlin; children, Nicole Hunt and son-in-law, Chuck, and their children, Taylor and Kyle, Robin (Greg) Zelmer, Robert D. Sanchez, Jr., Terry (Linda) Sanchez, Randy (Kelly) Peak, and Kelly Sanchez; sisters, Dorothy (Larry) Nichols, and Sharon (Lance) Nichols; brother, Alvin Nowlin; several grandchildren and great grandchildren
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, January 4, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill. Burial will be at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity. Friends may call from 1:00 to 1:45 pm on Thursday at Tyree Funeral Home.
