Edith Arden Waugh

Edith Esther Arden Waugh, age 102 of Oak Hill, WV passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019, at the Oak Hill Place Assisted Living.
Born October 20, 1916, in Carter County, KY she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Rachel McGuire Arden.
Edith was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Everette Waugh on August 19, 1999; also by son, James Waugh; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte Reed of Ocala FL; grandchildren, Kenny Pate, Marty Pate, Anne Waugh Boerner and Scott Waugh; ten great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Charlene Osburne of Ashland, KY and her good friends and neighbors, Betty and Bill Canterbury.
A graveside service with burial to follow will be held at 2:15 PM Thursday, August 29, 2019 at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill, with Pastor Ron Eagle officiating.
Friends may call at the Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill on Thursday from 1:00- 2:00 PM.
