Dorothy Harrah Painter, 90, of Oak Hill passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House.
Born November 30, 1928 in Richmond, VA she was the daughter of the late Eli and Mary Reynold Harrah.
She was a homemaker. A member of the Oak hill Baptist Church, she served many years in the church nursery. She was a long time member and Treasurer of the Stannard Carr Circle and former member of the Scarbro Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Painter and son, Jimmy Lee Meadows.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons, Bobby (Debbie) Meadows of Oak Hill and John Painter of Warren VA; one daughter, Sue Ann Zastawniak of Flatwoods, KY; brother Eli Harrah (Shirley) of Freemont, NE; six grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Monday, October 14, 2019 at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Pastors David Sneed and Sam Blaylock officiating. Burial will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
Visitation will be two hours prior to service at the funeral home.
